Each piece in the "Implement Series" is hand built from a low-fire clay body. To create the illusion of a time-wrought patina, the surface involves layered applications of heavy slip followed by hand-worked texturing. The finish then involves a final sequence of applied layers of colored slips, stains and glazes.
